Last week, we saw 3 videos and made review of it. We had to make a transcript but we wouldn't because the sound was very bad. We advice you to make the exam video outdoor, not in the classroom. We learnt to realise a review. First, we had to introcuce the video, then a little description, and to finish to give our opinion about the video.

Review 1:
This video explain different exercises for people who wants to do sport at home.5 students (girls) are showing 5 exercises to work different muscles of body.
This video have a big disadvantage… we don’t understand well at all because the sound is very bad.

Review 2:

This video showing us 3 girls who are doing aerobic, imitating “Veronique and Davina”. They are very dynamic. This video is very motivating for us.
But, there is also the same problem as the first video, the sound is very bad.

Review 3:
4 students are showing us exemple of warming exercise. This video is less dynamic than the last we saw.
We always haver the same problem … registrer a video in a classroom resonates.

The best video is : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qX98K9bZ50Y … because there is a title, and subtitles (for deaf for exemple) and the movement are well describe. Moreover, it finish with a dynamic video to motivate the old persons.

paralympics games

The paralympics games are organised in parallel with the olympics games by the International Paralympics Comittee.
Every four years, this competition includes athlets, with intelectual disabilities and mobility disabilities.
The first games took places in Italy in 1960. In past the only people who could participate was an athlet with spinal cord lesion.

Moreover, there was eight sports in paralympic games and the recently games was composed of twenty sports.

So, we can say they are more and more people with disabilities witch make a physical activity for the good health and competition.

We think that media have an important roles in the promotion of paralympics games.
In 2012 the the paralympic games were followed by many viewer in the world.

Paralympics Games : 1960... Today

During the 20th century, CIO adapted the Olympics Games compared to the social changes in the world (economics, politicals and technologicals changes). Thanks to these changes, the winter's Olympics games, the paralympics games and younger's Olympics games were created.
Consequently, the Olympics games passed from amateurism (according to coubertin) to professionalism.

The 1st Olympics games took place in Rome in 1960 (Summer Olympics Games). 8 sports were joined : athletics, basketball in wheel chair, dartchery (mixture of archery and darts), snooker, swimming, fencing in wheel chair, table tennis and archery. Only the sportsmen suffering from lesions to the spinal-cord could take part.

Today the Olympics Games are not limited any more to the physical handicap. The physically handicappe people or visual and mental can take part in the Paralympics Games.
The deaf persons and deaf people can take part in the Olympics Games of the deaf persons.

Now, there are twenty sports in the summer Paralympics games and 4 in the winter Paralympics games : Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, curling, hockey with toboggan.

Compare between Paralympic games and valids games

The paralympic games it's for athletes with disabilities together for events with a disability. It takes place after the valids games. The great debate is around media, for london 2012, france television broadcast only a brief summary and no live instead of valid games. But the french state made an effort on service award, who are the same of valids athletes. The objective of the Paralympic Movement is the opportunity for athletes with a physical disability to excel and achieve sports performance comparable to Olympic athletes.

Difference between before olympic games and olympic games now

Firstly, the name was changed before the paralympics games were called "the games world of wheelchairs and amputees".

The first Paralympic Games were held in Rome in 1960. The event brings together 400 athletes from 23 different countries. For the first season, only wheelchair athletes are invited to participate in the competition. At this time, only eight sports are on the program: athletics, basketball chair, swimming, wheelchair fencing, billiards, table tennis, shooting, archery and dartchery (a mixture of darts and archery).

From these beginnings, the Paralympics have grown remarkably. Paralympic Games today include six major categories of athletes: those with visual impairments, people with physical disabilities, amputee athletes, people with cerebral palsy, people with spinal cord injury, and The Others - Athletes with a Disability physics not included in the above categories (eg people with muscular dystrophy).
